FIVE ANGEL REVIEW!!! Droit de Seigneur Guy of Bournwood is a brave knight returned home from the Crusades to find himself lord of the manor. He must make a good marriage to a woman with powerful connections, but he can't get a village girl, Clair, out of his head. Too honourable to seduce her and cast her aside, Guy's dilemma is solved when his squire John reminds him of the law of droit de seigneur - as the overlord, Guy is entitled to deflower any bride living on his land. Guy's reluctant to do it, but his desire for Claire is too strong. Claire had always thought her life would be simple and straightforward, but that was before Lord Guy's demand of her maidenhead. He treats her kindly and with such passion, she wants to know more about him-even though he's far above even her dreams. Claire helps Guy come to terms with the horrors of the Crusades-but when the wedding night is over, Claire must return to her husband and Guy seeks solace in war. Can they ever find a way to their happy ending? I loved this book. Droit de Seigneur is incredibly romantic, and as a sucker for 'first time' stories, this one really hit the spot with me. Claire's bewilderment and innocence are lovely as she tries to comprehend and overcome the difference in station between herself and Guy. She's very practical, both in her responses to Guy and later with the way she deals with life with her husband. Guy is so tender, a knight out of a chanson geste who adores his lady from a distance and is careful to treat her gently when they're together. His anger at his own actions is heartbreaking, but his determination to win back Claire will bring a smile to your face. Reviewed by: Maija - FALLEN ANGEL REVIEWS

4.5 Hearts! "The author's telling of this tale is both lyrical and descriptive and while her story is filled with erotic scenes, it's bound together with very real emotion. The characterization was incredible and the story's pacing and plot flowed so well that time seemed lost in the reading of it. This story engaged me in a way that left me longing for more. Don't miss this gem of a story that solidly launches the Red Sage line of ebooks and pledges to readers that there are many more wonderful stories to come." ~~The Romance Studio gives Master of the Elements by Alice Gaines 4.5 Hearts!
